Vizzione's mining module
Video analytics for mining in Chile
Vizzione brings video analytics to the mine site: it detects PPE use, watches exclusion zones and monitors fleet traffic using the cameras you already have.
- Pilot in 2 to 4 weeks
- Works on your IP cameras (RTSP/ONVIF)
- On-premise, AWS or Google Cloud
Among our mining clients: Maex Mining.

The site problem: many cameras, few eyes
A mine site records everything, but nobody can watch every screen all the time. An incident or violation is often reviewed after it has happened. Video analytics puts the cameras you already have to work: it alerts you in the moment and leaves a record.
Safety: PPE and exclusion zones
PPE detection
Detects helmets, reflective vests, safety glasses and harnesses in the zones and cameras you define.
Exclusion zones
Draw a restricted area on the camera image and get an alert when someone enters.
Scope and limits
Results depend on distance, light, dust and camera angle. In the pilot we measure what it detects well on your site and what it does not, before you decide.
Fleet and site traffic
Visual monitoring of mining trucks, front loaders and rolling equipment: traffic, cycle times and perimeter control.

What a pilot looks like on a mine site
We start with a 30-minute demo with mining scenes. If it fits, we define a use case (for example PPE at an access point or an exclusion zone), connect the cameras you already have and get the pilot live in 2 to 4 weeks. We measure accuracy and false positives on your own scenes.
- 1
30-minute demo
We show you scenes from your industry.
- 2
We define the use case
One use case, the cameras involved and how we will measure the result.
- 3
Pilot in 2 to 4 weeks
Live on your existing IP cameras.
- 4
We decide together
We review results and, if it makes sense, scale from one camera to hundreds.
Deployment on site
On-premise, on AWS or Google Cloud, or hybrid: local processing for sensitive data and cloud for advanced analytics.
On-premise
Video is processed on your servers. For operations that prioritize privacy and low latency.
Cloud (AWS or Google Cloud)
Processing in the cloud, with on-demand resources and no infrastructure investment of your own.
Hybrid
Local processing for sensitive data and cloud for advanced analytics.
Mining FAQ
Which PPE can computer vision detect, and under what conditions?
Helmets, reflective vests, safety glasses and harnesses, in camera-covered zones. Detection depends on distance, light, dust and angle; we validate it in a pilot on your cameras.
How is an exclusion zone defined, and what happens when someone enters?
The area is drawn on the camera image. When a person is detected inside, an alert is generated for your safety team.
Does it work with our site cameras?
Yes, if they are standard IP cameras (RTSP/ONVIF). In the pilot we review angle, resolution and lighting at each point.
How are false positives measured?
Before the pilot we define what counts as a hit and what as a false alarm, and we measure it on your real scenes over the 2 to 4 weeks.
Where is the data processed?
Where you prefer: on your servers, on AWS or Google Cloud, or hybrid.
How long does a pilot take?
It is live in 2 to 4 weeks after the demo and use-case definition.
